ACTIB – Passion for Sport, Commitment to Action

Águeda Action Club – ACTIB is a sports association dedicated to promoting and energizing outdoor sports, with a special focus on the most challenging, technical, and adventurous disciplines, such as Motocross. Founded by a group of enthusiasts with roots in the former Motorcycling division of the club that organized the Motocross Grand Prix of Portugal until 2013, ACTIB was born with a clear mission: to place Águeda and Portugal at the forefront of the global motocross scene.

With a team boasting over 30 years of experience in top-tier international events, ACTIB brings a unique legacy of knowledge and passion. It’s no coincidence that many of those involved in this project were also among the pioneers who brought the first Motocross World Championship to Portugal in 1985 – a historic milestone that marked the beginning of Águeda’s deep connection with the sport.

MXGP Portugal – A Story with Aguedense DNA

Since its debut in 1985, the Motocross World Championship – now known as MXGP – has returned to Portugal almost continuously, with Águeda as its main stage. The city’s international track is widely recognized by riders, teams, and manufacturers as one of the most demanding on the calendar, blending technical challenges with a uniquely natural setting.

Much like MotoGP or Formula 1, MXGP is a world-class championship with a highly professional structure, large-scale logistics, and direct influence on the technological development of the off-road motorcycle industry. The top international teams bring motorhomes, specialized technicians, and the world’s best riders – drawing huge crowds wherever they go. Águeda has become one of the most iconic stops on this global tour.

After a four-year break, the return of MXGP to Águeda marks not only the revival of an iconic event but also the continuation of a legacy built on dedication, expertise, and a deep passion for motocross.

The CIA – Águeda International Motocross Track is one of the most iconic circuits in the world of motocross. Located in the city of Águeda, in the heart of Portugal, this track stands out for its technical features, challenging jumps, and excellent visibility for spectators. Over the years, the CIA has hosted numerous rounds of the Motocross World Championship (MXGP), earning international recognition for the quality of its organization and the passion of Portuguese fans.
